Introduction from 15/16 SMSA President

Assalamualaikum and Salam Sejahtera I bid to all Malaysian students of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

First of all, I'd like to welcome all of you to our new SMSA website. The existance of this website is mainly purposed to help all the students who are studying and living in Russia and Moscow especially with all the important informations that we can provide to you.

Hence, I as the President of Sechenov Malaysian Students Association 2015/2016 as well as the other committee members of SMSA will try our best to make your life here, albeit thousand miles away from home a little better each day.

Lastly, we really hope to gain full support from everybody to accomplish this dream.

Sechenov Malaysian Students Association (SMSA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2006. We serve as the umbrella student’s body which oversees the well being of all Malaysian students here in I.M Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

This association was previously known as the Moscow Malaysian Student Association (MMSA) in year 2003-2006 when the student council represented 2 universities, which are: Moscow Medical Academy (MMA) and Russian State Medical University (RSMU). Ever since 2006, both universities have their own Malaysian Students Asosciation; MMA is represented by SMSA and RSMU is represented by RMSA.

In 2010, MMA has officially been given the university status and change their name to I.M Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (1st MSMU). SMSA is the student organization which effectively represents all Malaysian students at 1st MSMU.
